Andrew Coimbra Fall/Winter 2016 Presentation

Andrew Coimbra revealed his environment inspired, fourth collection with his Fall/ Winter 2016 Presentation. This collection is special because it helped bring awareness to the current oil spill off of the coast of Vancouver.  This presentation was done for an intimate exclusive audience in Toronto.

Andrew was quoted saying, "The inspiration for the FW16 collection came from the oil spill off the coast of Vancouver, in 2015. I began thinking about the different forms of marine pollution and researching natural forms of defense for marine wildlife, in efforts of juxtaposing the two themes. This collection is a combination of my current aesthetic and bringing attention to a topic that needs to be put in the spotlight".

Coimbra pulled from his inspiration and incorporated oil printed fabrics, slick textures and aquatic embellishments into a very well made men's line of contemporary sportswear. I think bringing attention to this serious problem is a brilliant idea. Andrew is on top of trends and knows how to pull out one hell of a successful line, I dare you not to fall in love with his collection! Also, loving the eyewear from spectacle! #AndrewCoimbra

Thom Browne Fall 2016 RTW

One of my favorite designers, Thom Browne, killed it again on the runway for Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear. He has an amazing way of being new and original every single time. Not only is the show beautifully presented but his creations are truly one of a kind. The way he plays with what most people think are gender specific clothing and throws them into a melting pot, is phenomenal! #ThomBrowne

Tom Ford Redefines Fashion Week!!!

Always a trendsetter, Tom Ford has decided to completely switch things up this Fashion Week! Not only will he not be presenting during Men's or Women's Fashion Week, but come next season, he will presenting a collection that will be available immediately in stores. TALK ABOUT A SMART AND BOLD MOVE.

"In a world that has become increasingly immediate, the current way of showing a collection four months before it is available to customers, is an antiquated idea nad one that no longer makes sense," Ford was quoted saying. I agree, I think Fashion Week needs to be redefined and fresh, this is the perfect way to do it!

Will this change up the game for everybody now? Bold statements lead to bold changes, can't wait to see what happens next season! Guess we shall see soon enough! #TheNewWayToFashionWeek

John Varvatos To Show In NYFW: Men

According to WWD, there is some big news regarding John Varvatos and the new July Fashion Week: Men. The designer has announced that he will in fact be showing his 2016 menswear collection. Varvatos didn't feel that the time between Fashion Week and the menswear calendar ever aligned in the right way. He said, "after eight years of showing in New York, I moved my show to Milan. We've shown there for the past seven years and it's been a wonderful experience and a real boost for our international growth." Finally with the new change, he has the opportunity to show in NY and wants to return his American Brand to New York City. #FWMens #JohnVarvatosReturns #JohnVarvatos
